The firm’s international focus is one of our greatest strengths.
The diversity of our international clientele allows us to better understand the problems investors face in their international operations, and specifically to garner considerable experience in identifying and applying solutions to legal questions that arise from foreign investment in Mexico. As part of our day-to-day work we face the difficult challenge of adapting international business structures to the Mexican legal framework and prudently implementing them in such a way that our clients’ interests and objectives are properly protected.
The legal services we offer in the international arena include counsel in a number of areas, including strategic alliances and joint ventures; financing; processing permits, registrations and authorizations for all sorts of intellectual property rights; contracting franchises, technology transfer, and technical assistance; foreign trade; and international arbitration.
To meet the requirements imposed by international practice, we have assumed the commitment of offering excellence in legal services, comparable in all ways to services furnished by leading law firms in countries that export capital. The majority of our partners and lawyers have done graduate study in the United States or Europe, and some have participated in training programs in the most highly respected law firm’s abroad. |

| ProBono Work |
The firm recognizes the importance of charitable work, and it promotes active participation by its partners and lawyers in handling matters that have social impact and in providing free legal advice to charitable institutions. We serve as pro bono consultants for various institutions and foundations, such as Bufete Jurídico Gratuito Social A.C. (Universidad Panamericana), Colegio Junípero y Christel House.
Several of our partners and associates are professors in law schools in Mexico and participate as speakers at conferences in Mexico and abroad. |
